What I’m Dreaming of Learning

Daily writing prompt
What skill would you like to learn?

From sacred touch to clay-stained hands

As a holistic therapist, I often say that my work is a weaving — a blend of body, energy, emotion, and presence. And just like any good weaving, it’s never truly finished. There’s always another thread to follow, another technique to explore, another way to bring deeper care to those who step into my space.

Lately, two new modalities have caught my heart: Lomi Lomi massage and Celtic Reiki.

🌺 Lomi Lomi — a Hawaiian form of massage — is more than just technique. It’s a spiritual dance, flowing like ocean waves, rooted in ancient wisdom and loving touch. I’m drawn to its rhythm, its grace, and the way it sees the body not as something to fix, but something to honour.

🌿 Celtic Reiki came to me through a friend’s gentle recommendation, and it sparked something deep in me. The blend of energy work with the grounded magic of trees, ogham, and ancestral memory feels like a path back to something I’ve known before. It speaks to my witchy bones.

Outside of hands-on work, psychology is my forever fascination. I’m always reading, always listening to podcasts, and always reflecting on the human experience — not to “fix” it, but to understand it with more compassion. The inner world is a wild, wonderful thing, and I love learning how it all fits together: the mind, the nervous system, the stories we tell ourselves.

And on a more playful note… I’ve always wanted to try pottery. 🏺
There’s something about shaping clay that feels like spellwork. Getting messy. Letting the hands listen to what the heart can’t quite say in words. One day, I’ll sit at a wheel and make something imperfect and beautiful — just for me.

Whether it’s a new healing art or a personal joy, learning keeps me rooted in the present and open to what’s next. And I think that’s the real magic: not just knowing, but becoming.

This is mine list, comment yours
