New habits = self-coaching

Before the pandemic, I was a remedial and sports massage therapist. My purpose was to help others to feel better in their body and reconnect themselves. But in the meantime, I searched for a tool that could help me be a better therapist. And I find life coaching, which is precisely the method I was searching for because, with this, I can support my clients to transform their lives with small steps. And the whole journey started with me.

Why? Because I started coaching myself too. I learned how to develop new habits and live healthier lives. I am 38 years old now and have three children. Like many parents, I always put myself back, and over the years, I became overweight and not very active however the massages made me much stronger.

Last year during the first lockdown, like many of us, I felt overwhelmed, depressed. I realised that I need to adapt to this new situation quickly. I started to be more physically active. I did home workouts 2-3 times a week from March 2020. Later, I added daily stepping to my routine, and first time in my life, I signed up for the One Million Steps Challenge for Diabetes UK and completed it between 1st of July 2020 – 30th of September 2020. This was my first big achievement, and I was so proud of myself. It helped me keep going, because I must admit that I became more active, but my weight stayed the same which was very disappointing.

I tried (but not really) to focus on what am I eating and asked for help from the GP, who referred me to the Weight Management Team. Unfortunately, I had to wait for their letter for almost a year.

But I believed in coaching and started to believe in myself, too, so from January 2021, I started a new diet. And finally, IT WORKED, IT IS STILL WORKING! I lost more than 30 lbs (14 kg)!

Was it challenging?

Yes, it was.

Was it sometimes hard?

Yes, it was.

Was it doable?

Definitely!

What is coaching about?

I work with many methods depends on your needs, but the basics are always the same:

We will have 5-7 sessions depends on your topic. The sessions are regularly 60-90 minutes long and could be on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp calling, completely based on your comfort, at mutually agreed dates and times.

The gap between the first five sessions would be 7-10 days depending on mutual convenience and the time required to complete homework. The last session is a follow-up, usually four weeks after the 5th meeting.

Most of my clients usually doesn’t know which part of their lives they want to change. Or there are a few areas they’d like some changes. I support them to prioritise and find ONE to work with: one programme – one goal. Small changes can transform your habits, your mindset, your life.

  1. Gathering resources

Everyone has unique skills, qualities, strengths. And most of us usually like to focus on weaknesses, fears which hold us back. It is a beautiful moment when you face what the things you already achieve in your life are. Everyone has these powers. What is your superpower? What makes you a superhero?

  1. Seeing your plan from different perspectives

When you choose, you leave your comfort zone, move forward, change habits; you have to face the consequences of your actions, every aspect of them, what things inspire you to achieve your goal and the thoughts that hold you back. Facing these is essential to understand yourself and make the next step.

  1. Finding your solution

We have a look at your options. Which suits you the best, which do you like to most? After this session, you have a longer break for the next session to complete this step. Maybe this feels strange now, but this time you will be more confident in yourself, know yourself better, and most importantly, use your strengths and not work against them.

  1. Wrap up your journey

Coaching is about teaching you a positive way to handle your life challenges. During your journey, you will easily be able to create new goals and achieve them. In this session, we create a roadmap for you, with the following small steps to follow. We discuss the things that could go wrong and what are the solutions them. You will get tools and techniques to use, and at any point, I am here to help and support you.

+1. 4-6 weeks later, we have a follow-up session to discuss where are you now, how you feel yourself in your new life.

I’m Éva — a witch, fully qualified and insured remedial massage therapist, and ritual guide weaving soul and healing into one path.

Rooted in Edinburgh and born in Hungary, I moved to Scotland seven years ago and am lucky enough to now call this land home.

My path has been shaped by years of study in intuitive healing, energy work, and the sacred arts—alongside deep experience in therapeutic bodywork. As a trained remedial and sports massage therapist, I support both those navigating physical discomfort and those managing acute or ongoing muscular and joint conditions.

This unique combination allows me to meet each person where they are: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Sacred sessions that blend ritual, introspection, therapeutic touch, and magical self-inquiry. This is a space for you to be witnessed, softened, and remembered. Whether through one-on-one soul work, women’s circles, or intuitive massage, everything I offer serves your wholeness.
